Brollvia vs Envato Elements

The breadth play: tens of millions of creative assets — templates, fonts, WordPress themes, graphics, 3D — under one unlimited subscription.

Envato Elements is the cheapest breadth in the business: if your work spans design and video, nothing matches it per dollar. Choose it for breadth; choose Brollvia for filmmaker depth, licence proof and the agent layer.

Feature coverage

Envato Elements, in full

Envato Elements is the subscription form of a simple insight: most creators do not only need footage. They need the title template, the font in the title, the presentation deck for the pitch, the WordPress theme for the campaign site — and Elements sells all of it, unlimited, for $16.50 a month billed annually. Reviews put the catalogue anywhere from 21 million to 60 million assets depending on what gets counted, a range we report rather than resolve; by any count it spans stock video, photos, music and sound effects plus graphic, presentation and video templates, fonts, 3D and web themes. For a generalist freelancer it is close to a utility bill: unglamorous, comprehensive, cheap.

Its licence model is the distinctive part. Every download is assigned — registered — to a client project, and that registration keeps the asset licensed for that project forever, even after the subscription ends. It is tidy for client work and more restrictive than it first looks: use the same clip in a new project and you must register it again, under an active subscription. Brollvia's model is the inverse — a licence record per download, attached to the asset and the production generally, with a public verification page — and the matrix scores the two as different instruments rather than one being broken.

For filmmakers specifically, Elements is a strong second subscription and a weaker first one. The footage is plentiful but the platform's centre of gravity is design: there is no script-to-shots matching, no frame search, no public API or MCP in the sources we checked, and the newer AI-credit tiers (20 a month on Core, up to 2,000 on Ultimate) buy generation as an add-on rather than a library-integrated, labelled feature. It is the best breadth-per-dollar in this comparison and the least filmmaker-specific — both halves of that sentence matter.

The price of full access

Compared on the tier a working filmmaker would actually buy — full media access, not a teaser plan. Envato Elements: Individual — $16.50/mo (annual billing). Brollvia Pro: $15/mo or $99/yr, unlimited. Full tier tables and traps are in the pricing analysis below; if you drive your edit from a script, see how generation and the API & MCP change the maths.

Library size, as claimed

Envato claims tens of millions of assets; sources conflict sharply — 21M+ in one review, 54M–60M+ in others (October 2026) — so we chart the conservative 21M+ figure and flag the range. Brollvia is a new, curated contributor library and does not publish a comparable total — on claimed catalogue size, Envato Elements is the bigger shelf, and this chart says so plainly (log scale).

Where Envato Elements wins

Written by us, about a competitor, without sanding the edges:

  • Breadth: fonts, themes, presentation and web templates are categories Brollvia does not touch
  • Team pricing per seat at annual billing
  • Template depth across design and video tools
  • Licence persistence for registered projects after cancellation

Where Brollvia wins

  • Filmmaker focus: search by scene, frame or script, versus a design-led catalogue
  • Licence model: per-download records with public verification, versus per-project registration you must redo for each new project
  • Agent layer: MCP + API licensing; no public API found at Envato in sources checked
  • Editor panels for Premiere AND Resolve with licence records built in
  • Labelled AI generation integrated with the library

Pricing analysis

Elements is the one rival that beats Brollvia Pro on headline price for a comparable promise: $16.50/mo annual ($198/yr) against $15/mo monthly or $99/yr — roughly double Brollvia's annual rate, roughly par monthly, and with far more asset types inside. Teams widen its lead on paper, at ~$10.75 a seat against Brollvia's $12. If your team consumes design assets weekly, Elements may be the cheapest line in your whole stack, and these pages will not argue otherwise.

The pricing caveat is flux: Envato has been restructuring into Core/Plus/Ultimate tiers with AI credits as the ladder, quoted in one source at €14.50/€33/€145 annual equivalents — figures in motion. Verify the current structure on Envato's site before comparing, and note that monthly billing on the classic plan jumps to roughly $33–39, where Brollvia's $15 flat monthly quietly wins again. The honest summary: annual-billed generalists save at Envato; monthly-billed filmmakers save at Brollvia.

In the edit: workflow

Elements fits a generalist's week: one search box for the deck, the font, the lower-third template and the track under it. Downloads are unlimited and painless; the per-project registration is a small, worthy admin habit. Filmmakers feel the seams in the edit — template support for Premiere is deep, but there is no licence-recording panel in either NLE, no agent to brief, and no verification link when a client's producer asks for paperwork. Brollvia is unambiguously the editing-native tool; Elements is the studio-supply cupboard.

Both platforms ultimately meet you in the timeline. Brollvia's editor panels for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve put search, licensing and download inside the app you already cut in, and the help centre covers the day-to-day. Judge the workflow sections above against your own last three projects, not against a feature list.

Choose Envato Elements if…

Choose Envato Elements if your deliverables regularly include the design layer — presentations, social templates, fonts, WordPress themes, graphics — alongside footage and music. Unlimited everything at $16.50/mo, cheap team seats, and a licence that keeps registered projects covered after you cancel make it the pragmatic generalist subscription, full stop.

Choose Brollvia if…

Choose Brollvia if your deliverable is the film: footage-first search (by scene, by frame, by script), licences a client can verify publicly, editor panels that record the licence as you download, and an MCP server for your agent. Envato's video shelf is a department in a design store; Brollvia is the store built around the edit.

Switching from Envato Elements

Envato's licence makes leaving unusually graceful: projects you registered stay licensed after cancellation, so finished client work is never hostage. What does not travel is the ability to register new uses — every future project needs its downloads licensed somewhere, which is the moment switchers feel the model difference. Download your licence registrations before cancelling, keep them with the project archives, and expect to re-acquire staple templates and fonts under your new platform's terms.

Envato Elements questions, answered straight

Is Envato Elements worth it for video alone?

It can be — the footage catalogue is large and unlimited — but you are paying for a design supermarket whether or not you shop in it. If footage, music and SFX are the whole job, a filmmaker-first library like Brollvia or Storyblocks aims its search and licensing at your workflow. If decks, fonts and themes are also weekly needs, Elements is hard to beat.

How does Envato's per-project licence work?

Each download is registered to one client project; that project keeps its licence forever, even after you cancel. Use the asset in a different project and you register a fresh download under an active subscription. Brollvia instead writes a licence record per download with a public verification code — producers tend to find that easier to hand over.

Does Envato Elements have an API?

No public API appeared in our October 2026 research, and there is no MCP server. Everything is manual download through the website. Brollvia exposes a REST API and an MCP server so tools and AI agents can search and license directly.

Are Envato's new AI tiers worth it?

The Core/Plus/Ultimate restructure ladders AI credits from about 20 to 2,000 a month. For occasional image generation that may suffice; for video-adjacent generation, Brollvia's credit packs and per-job pricing are easier to model, and every generated asset is labelled on its licence. Envato's structure was still settling in our sources — check the live page.

Elements or Brollvia for a small studio?

If the studio is design-led (branding, web, social), Elements' breadth and ~$10.75 seats are compelling. If it is edit-led (films, ads, content series), Brollvia's search-by-frame, script matching, editor panels and verifiable licences serve the actual bottleneck. Many studios run one of each; the comparison pages price that honestly.
