Using Brollvia inside Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve

Install the Brollvia panel in Premiere Pro (UXP, sideloaded with the UXP Developer Tool) and in DaVinci Resolve Studio (Workflow Integration), sign in with an API key, and download licensed footage in place.

The Brollvia editor panels put the library inside the two editors most filmmakers cut in: search, preview and download licensed files without leaving your timeline. Every download goes through the same licence-checked API flow as the website — a licence record is written to your account for each file, and if your plan does not cover an asset, the panel shows the same upgrade message the API returns. Nothing downloads without a licence.

Before you start: get an API key

  1. Sign in to Brollvia and open Settings → Developer.
  2. Create a key with the read and download scopes (add collections:write if you want to file downloads into collections from the panel).
  3. Copy the key — it is shown once. The panels arrive pre-addressed to this site, so the key is the only thing you paste.

Premiere Pro (UXP panel)

UXP is Adobe's current plugin platform. Adobe does not allow UXP panels to be dropped in as plain files — the honest install path is Adobe's free UXP Developer Tool, which sideloads the panel onto your machine. (Marketplace distribution through Adobe Exchange is a later step.)

  1. Download brollvia-premiere-panel.ccx from the Editors page and unzip it — a .ccx is a zip.
  2. Install Adobe's UXP Developer Tool from the Creative Cloud app (search "UXP Developer Tool").
  3. In the tool: Add Plugin → choose the unzipped folder's manifest.json → Load.
  4. In Premiere Pro, open Window → Extensions → Brollvia. Paste your API key, choose where downloads are saved (import to the project is attempted when Premiere's UXP API allows it; otherwise the panel tells you exactly where the file landed).

DaVinci Resolve (Workflow Integration plugin)

Workflow Integrations are a DaVinci Resolve Studio feature (the free edition does not load them).

  1. Download brollvia-resolve-plugin.zip from the Editors page and unzip it.
  2. Copy the com.brollvia.resolve folder into Resolve's Workflow Integration Plugins folder:
    • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Fusion/Workflow Integration Plugins/
    • Windows: C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Fusion\Workflow Integration Plugins\ (per-user alternative: %APPDATA%\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\Fusion\Workflow Integration Plugins\)
  3. Restart Resolve and open Workspace → Workflow Integrations → Brollvia.
  4. Paste your API key and pick a download folder. Downloads land there as licensed files — drag them into the Media Pool to use them.

Good to know

  • The panels store your key only in the plugin's local storage on your machine. Revoke it any time from Settings → Developer.
  • Plan rules apply exactly as on the web: Free accounts download HD from the free library; Pro adds originals and the Pro library.
  • Keys are scoped, quota'd and revocable — that is also why the API can safely accept panel calls from local plugin contexts.
